About the Lobster
A lobster is a hard-shelled sea animal with a long body, a muscular tail, and two big front claws. It lives on the ocean floor, hiding in rocky crevices and burrows and coming out to look for food. A lobster actually tastes with tiny hairs on its legs and feet, which help it find a meal. Use this in an ocean unit and trace from the claws down the long tail.
- A lobster has two large front claws, often one heavier than the other.
- Lobsters live on the sea floor, sheltering in crevices and burrows.
- Its strong tail lets it shoot backward quickly to escape danger.
