About the Daisy
A daisy is a simple flower with a round yellow center circled by a ring of white petals. What looks like one bloom is really many tiny flowers grouped together, the small ones in the middle and the petal-like ones around the edge. Daisies grow easily in lawns and meadows across much of the world. This shape is a gentle first outline for young children, who can trace the round center before adding petals.
- The yellow middle of a daisy is packed with dozens of tiny separate flowers.
- Daisies open their petals in daylight and close them at night.
