About the Eagle
Eagles are large, powerful birds of prey with hooked beaks and strong talons for catching food. Most of the world's roughly 68 kinds live across Europe, Africa, and Asia, with only a handful in the Americas and Australia. Their eyesight is so sharp that an eagle soaring high up can spot a small animal moving far below. Follow the flight path from wingtip to wingtip during a birds-of-prey lesson.
- An eagle grips its prey with powerful, curved talons.
- Eagles build some of the largest nests of any bird, adding to them year after year.
