About the Peacock
The peacock is the male of a large, showy bird called the peafowl. He is famous for the enormous fan of shimmering, eye-spotted feathers he spreads to show off. Only the males grow this dazzling tail; the females, called peahens, are plainer brown. Trace the path up into the great fanned tail, then color each feather's blue-green 'eye.'
