About the Volleyball
Volleyball is a team game where two teams of six hit a ball back and forth over a high net. Each side tries to make the ball land on the other team's floor, and players can touch it up to three times before sending it back. The beach version, played on sand by teams of two, joined the Olympics in 1996. This printable fits a sports-day or beach theme, and the round ball is easy for young children to trace.
- Each team may touch the ball three times per turn.
- It has been an Olympic sport since 1964.
- A hard downward hit is called a spike and can top 80 mph.
