About the Lacrosse stick
A lacrosse stick, also called a crosse, has a small netted pocket at one end for the ball. Players cradle, carry, catch, and throw the ball using that loose netting as they run. They can also tap an opponent's stick, a move called a check, to knock the ball free. Trace this printable in a field-sports lesson and find the little net that does all the work.
- The netted pocket lets a player catch, carry, and throw the ball.
- Tapping an opponent's stick to jar the ball loose is called a check.
