About the Mosasaurus
A long body, paddle-like limbs, and huge jaws made Mosasaurus a fearsome hunter of the ancient oceans. It ruled the seas at the end of the dinosaur age, snapping up fish and other sea creatures. It was really a swimming lizard, more closely related to today's monitor lizards and snakes than to dinosaurs. Use it in a prehistoric-ocean theme, tracing the path along its body to its powerful jaws.
- Mosasaurus was a giant sea reptile, not a dinosaur.
- It had paddle-like limbs and huge jaws for hunting.
- It ruled the oceans at the end of the dinosaur age.
