About the Plesiosaur
Plesiosaurs were large marine reptiles that swam through the oceans while the dinosaurs ruled the land. They pulled themselves along with four wide flippers, and many had long necks and small heads. Though they lived at the same time, plesiosaurs were sea reptiles, not dinosaurs, and they died out in the same extinction 66 million years ago. This maze suits an ocean-of-the-past or dinosaur-era theme, with the long neck making a natural start to the path.
- They swam using four large flippers.
- Plesiosaurs were marine reptiles, not dinosaurs.
- They lived from the late Triassic until about 66 million years ago.
