About the Human arm
The arm is the upper limb that reaches from your shoulder to your hand. It bends at the elbow in the middle, giving you two parts: the upper arm and the forearm. Three long bones and many muscles work together to let you lift, throw, wave, and hug. Trace the whole arm from shoulder to wrist for a lesson on how your body moves.
- The arm bends in the middle at the elbow joint.
- Three main bones form the arm: one in the upper arm and two in the forearm.
