About the Single pointing finger
A finger is one of the slender digits on your hand, made for touching, pointing, and picking things up. Each finger has three tiny bones and bends at two knuckles, which is what lets it curl around objects. The thumb is a little different, with only two bones. Trace along one finger for a fine-motor warm-up, then wiggle each of your own.
- Each finger has three small bones; the thumb has only two.
- Fingertips are packed with nerves, making them very good at feeling things.
