About the Snail
A snail is a soft little animal that carries a coiled shell it can pull its whole body into for safety. It glides along on a single muscular foot, leaving a trail of slime that helps it slide over rough ground. Snails move famously slowly, and in dry or cold spells some can rest, sealed in their shells, for a very long time. A gentle pick for a garden or minibeasts theme, with a spiral shell that echoes the path inside.
- A snail can pull its entire body inside its coiled shell for protection.
- Snails move on one muscular foot and glide over a layer of slime.
- There are land snails, sea snails, and freshwater snails.
