About the Ferret
Ferrets are small, playful animals with long, slender bodies, related to weasels and otters. Kept as pets for a long time, they were tamed from the wild European polecat. When a ferret is excited it often bounces around in a hopping, wiggling display sometimes called the weasel war dance. A lively choice for a pets theme, following the path along its stretchy body.
- Ferrets were domesticated from the wild European polecat.
- They belong to the same family as weasels, otters, and badgers.
