About the Sailboat
A sailboat is a boat pushed across the water by the wind caught in its sails. As the breeze fills the cloth, it drives the boat along without any engine at all. A skilled sailor can even travel toward the wind by steering in a zig-zag. Add this printable to a water-travel lesson and trace from the hull up to the top of the sail.
- A sailboat moves on wind power alone, with no engine needed.
- By zig-zagging, a sailboat can even make progress against the wind.
