About the Beet
A beet is a round root vegetable with a deep red-purple color that can stain your fingers pink. It grows underground, while its leafy tops, called beet greens, grow above and can also be eaten. Beets taste earthy and a little sweet, and they can be roasted, boiled, or pickled. Use this printable for a garden or colors lesson, tracing the round root down to its slender tail.
