About the Tape measure
A tape measure is a long, bendy ruler that rolls up into a small case. You pull out the metal ribbon to measure something, then let it snap back inside when you are done. Because it bends, it can measure around corners and along curves that a stiff ruler cannot. Add this printable to a measuring lesson and trace the ribbon back into its case.
- A tape measure's bendy ribbon can measure around curves and corners.
- The metal strip curls back into its case when you let go.
