About the Power drill
A drill is a power tool that spins a sharp bit to bore round holes. Swap the bit for a screwdriver tip and the same tool can drive screws instead. Older drills were cranked by hand, but most today run on a battery pack you can carry anywhere. Trace this printable in a how-things-are-built lesson and follow it to the spinning bit.
- A drill spins a sharp bit fast enough to bore holes in wood or metal.
- Swapping the bit lets a drill drive screws as well as make holes.
