About the Sea Urchin
A sea urchin is a round sea animal covered all over in sharp, movable spines that keep it safe from predators. Underneath the spines it creeps slowly across the seabed on tiny tube feet, grazing mostly on algae. Sea urchins are cousins of the starfish and sand dollar. Use this in a tide-pool unit and trace the path in between the spines.
