About the Snapdragon
Snapdragons get their name from their odd flowers, which look a little like a dragon's face that opens and shuts when you gently squeeze the sides. They grow wild in rocky places across Europe, North Africa, and North America. Gardeners plant them for their tall spikes of colorful blooms and as cut flowers. This shape is a playful printable, so squeeze an imaginary dragon jaw after you finish coloring the flower.
- Squeezing the sides of a snapdragon flower makes it open like a tiny mouth.
- The name comes from the bloom's fancied likeness to a dragon's face.
- Snapdragons grow their flowers along tall upright spikes.
