About the Columbine
Columbines are woodland and mountain flowers with an unusual shape: each bloom has backward-pointing spurs that dangle behind the petals like little tails. Those spurs hold nectar, which draws in bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The flowers nod on thin stems above lacy leaves. Their curious shape makes this a rewarding printable to trace, spur by spur.
- A columbine flower has hollow spurs that trail behind it and hold nectar.
- The nectar spurs attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
