About the Porcupine
Covered in sharp, stiff quills, porcupines are large rodents that few predators dare to bother. Those quills are really special hardened hairs, and they protect the porcupine from anything that would rather not get poked. When an animal comes too close, the porcupine raises its quills to look bigger and more dangerous. A good choice for a forest theme, weaving the path between the spines.

- Porcupines are among the largest rodents in the world.
- There are two families of porcupine, one in the Old World and one in the New.
