About the Raindrop
A raindrop is a small drop of water that falls from a cloud when it grows too heavy to float. Tiny bits of water vapor in the cloud stick together, forming bigger and bigger drops until gravity pulls them down. As it falls, a raindrop is rounded, not shaped like a pointed teardrop. Print this for a water-cycle lesson and trace the drop on its way to the ground.
- Raindrops form as tiny bits of cloud water join into bigger, heavier drops.
- A falling raindrop is rounded, not shaped like a pointed teardrop.
