About the Magnolia
Magnolias are flowering trees and shrubs that open large, waxy blooms, often before their leaves appear in spring. The group holds a few hundred species spread between eastern Asia and the Americas. Magnolias are ancient plants; their tough flowers evolved to be pollinated by beetles, long before bees were common. Print this one for a spring tree study and color the broad petals in creamy pink or white.
