About the Goat
The goat was one of the first animals people ever tamed, kept for its milk, meat, and hair since around ten thousand years ago. Goats are close cousins of sheep and are famous for being curious, sure-footed climbers. One odd feature is their eyes: the pupil is a wide rectangle, not a round dot, which helps them watch for danger. Trace the horns and beard on this printable, then color your goat any shade you please.
- A goat's pupil is rectangular, which widens its view for spotting danger.
- Goats are close relatives of sheep and are nimble, sure-footed climbers.
- They were among the very first animals to be domesticated, about ten thousand years ago.
