About the Forklift
Two flat metal arms at the front, called forks, give the forklift its name and its job. It slides those forks under heavy loads, lifts them up, and carries them short distances. In warehouses and on building sites it stacks boxes and pallets far higher than a person could reach. Use it in a how-goods-move lesson, tracing the path up the forks to the load on top.
- A forklift lifts loads on two strong steel forks at its front.
- It can stack heavy boxes and pallets high up on shelves.
